The House Administration Committee convened a hearing to review the U.S. House of Representatives’ policies and training on sexual harassment. Witnesses included Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA), a sexual assault survivor and advocate, who said in her testimony that she knew at least two current members of Congress who are sexual harassers.
Representative Barbara Comstock (R-VA), who sits on the committee, said she knew of a current male member of Congress who exposed himself to a young female staffer. Representatives from the Office of House Employment Counsel and the Office of Compliance also testified during this hearing.
